What camera to choose?

As I can see a lot of people on this forum like photography. So I'd like to ask all of you what camera you prefer if you want to make top-quality pictures. The pictures you could use while building your online projects.

My friend is well in photography and he has Canon Digital Rebel XT 8MP . I personally use Sony Cybershot DSCW170/B 10.1MP and like it as well

Nikon D300. I believe it is good. I have seen the photos made with it. They look really staggering.

What about Olympus cameras? I thought their cameras are ones of the best, if not the bestest.
