Membership packages

Hi there, need your advice on templates membership packages.
I bought templates before, I paid per-item fee. It seems it's cheaper to order membership packages and have unlimited access to templates just for about $60-80 per year but not for one template. Where is the trick? If it is so cheap, isn't it a scam?:cool:

I don't think it's a scam. Just imagine how many people use the templates offered in membership packages. I doubt you want to have a template which has been downloaded by others hundreds of times.

The advantages of such membership sites, that you can download a lot of templates, and use some elements of the design while creating a project, for example you can take the header from one template and other part from another :))

I agree with Amex about templates packages. Just avoid using the complete templates because you can build a website similar to hundreds of others.

I am for unique decisions in web design. So I would prefer buying one and know that I'm the only one to have a website of this kind. Just my opinion.

Think twice before buying a membership templates package. Here are some reasons why I say so.

Don't even think aboput packages. My friend is a web designer. he develops sites for different people and companies. I asked him about packages and he has forbidden me even to think about it. He didn't explain why but I trust him and he knows a lot about free templates and packages.

Yeah, man don't purchase templates packages. i presume you need only one template and you want your website look qunique. Having trusted membership packages you automatically loose this chance.

First of all, I didn't say I need only one template. Secondly, I doubt that I have unique website look even if I do not buy a membership package.

As far as I know you get a completely unique template if you puchase it at a special price. If I'm not mistaken it's called unique price

So you say that no one has any quarantee to have a unique template and also a unique website even having paid money?

Exactly. Even if to order custom design. That is why I prefer templates+customization.

I can't agree on this. If you order custom made design it's developed exactly for you. That is the reason why custom made design costs more than templates.
If you are right then we all are being fooled. I don't think web design companies are so incompetent that they sell the same design to several customers.

I disagree with those who are saying template packages are worthless. I am a web designer and developer and feel they provide a great base for building websites. If you are looking to build a quick website, they're great. If you knwo what you're doing then you can alter the design anyway. I've bought templates from [Only registered and activated users can see links] and found the templates easy to build quick sites on. I also sold them on ebay and made some good money.

I also bought a really nice template from [Only registered and activated users can see links] which i found on their website too. I feel the quality was better than the packages but in actuality it only looked a little better and I ended up getting more traffic to my cheap template anyway :confused:

So i guess you can go either way!

Take a look at LayoutsPack.com ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). At least you can see what templates you can download there unlike at wittytemplates.com. :cool:

Why not? You can download hundreds of templates and experiment with them.
