free images?

I feel like I have enough knowledge to create a website template myself. I have never tried to do it before but I’ve been taught to do it by my friend who is a web designer.
So my question is the next. Where can I get free images to use in the template I develop by myself? I suppose there are some recourses for free images but I wasn’t lucky to find any one. :(
Hope someone could give me a good advice.

Do you have a digital camera?
If you do, why don't you make your own pictures. They'll be unique for sure and no one will blame you for using stolen images in a case you don't have enough money to purchase images.
Please, dont's be offended. i believe there is so much beuty around and you can make great pictures! Just look around! :)

Haven't hear about free and at the same time impressive images but i've used Fotolia ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) and was pleased with their service.

I enjoyed using pictures from Fontplay ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
Together with being nice-looking they are also free to use. as fas as I remember anyone can use their images for any purposes. I presume while creating website templates as well.

Just Google your request and I believe you'll find plenty of resources.
And of course don't forget to read the licencing options of image providers. Sometimes free images bring troubles when you are not familiar in what projects you can use them and when not.

There are also some sites that offer subscription service, you pay fixed fee and get an access to great amount of images.

At least you'll be sure that you have your own pictures and you don't have to worry about any problems with image providers.

Luckily i have a digital camera :)
I was just hoping to find free photoes made by professional photographers.
I also liked the idea about Fontplay. If someone has more suggestions go ahead :p

Great selection of images can be found here [Only registered and activated users can see links] but they aren’t free. This is the only disadvantage of these images I guess.
